More Then Just An ISSPM Training Course, But A Career Development/Mentoring Program

TSP is not just another training company that collects a fee for it's training services and provides our students training. At TSP our goal with each and every student is to establish a long term professional relationship and mentor these individuals through their professional careers in the field of Information Systems Security Program Management. Through mentoring, we can ensure that our students are continuing develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in field of Information Systems Security Program Management.

More specifically, our ISSM / ISSO Mentoring Program is a voluntary program where our students can work together with the ISSPM Training Course Instructor to meet their individual developmental needs.

Mentor Partnerships are established on a one-to-one basis. The partnership is a constantly evolving, growing process with both members providing insights and feedback.

Mentor’s can improve the student’s knowledge, skills and abilities by providing the student with the mentor’s knowledge. The level of involvement and interaction is up to each student.

The Following Are The Mentor's (ISSPM Training Course Instructor) Roles And responsibilities:

Teaches the student about a specific issue.
Coaches the student on a particular skill.
Facilitates the student's growth by sharing resources and networks.
Challenges the student to move beyond their comfort zones.
Focuses on the student's total development.

The Following Are The Student's Roles And Responsibilities:

Establish specific goals and objectives for the Mentoring-Student relationship. Actively seek to broaden understanding about advanced information security topics.
Use Mentor as both a resource for knowledge and a sounding board for ideas and issues.
Be open and honest about concerns regarding the profession and be willing to listen and learn by receiving constructive criticism and feedback.
